Glendale Community College coming into their last game of the season winless at 0-9 took on the Cougars of LA Southwest College. The game was close throughout the first 45 minutes of the game. Entering the fourth quarter Glendale had the narrowness lead of one point. In the past this is where Glendale would fall apart and let the lead slip away. This time was different. Glendale tacked on 14 more points to win 42 to 27 and celebrated their only victory of the year like they just won the league championship. The gentleman on the team played with a lot heart in the last quarter to ensure the victory.
In the post game speech, Coach John Rome of Glendale gave his team an emotional send off and told them how proud of them he is. The embraces of teammates and coaches spoke volumes how the teams effort and camaraderie . Lets see if the victory starts a winless streak as long as their losing streak was. We will have to wait till next season to find out.
