Revenge By 20 – Brea Olinda at Windward

Windward’s girls basketball team [ranked 10th in nation] was seeking revenge from their four point loss to Brea Olinda in the Brea Ladycat Classic on December 3rd.   The Windward Wildcats played with a higher intensity and defeated Brea Olinda 65-40 at home on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.  The Wildcats were led by senior 6′ 7″ center Imani Stafford with 14 points and hauling in 24 rebounds.  Stafford’s partner on the front court Kristen Simon scored 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds.

Windward next week leaves for Phoenix, AZ to take part in the Nike Tournament of Champions (Dec-19 – Dec-22).  N.T.O brings elite girls basketball teams in the country to play.

Boost Mobile Elite 24 Hoops Classic 2011

A collection of the nation’s best high school basketball players include the nation’s number one player Shabazz Muhammad out of Las Vegas were brought together for the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Hoops Classic 2011 played at Venice Beach in Venice, Calif.  The high school all stars were coached by NBA Stars highlighted by Brandon Jennings, Kevin Love, Jason Williams, Tyreke Evans, Kemba Walker and John Wall.  In addition to the NBA stars coaching, Kevin Durant, Derrick Williams and Jaime Foxx were in attendance watching the high school all-stars in action.
